Streaming Sunsets Differently — Streaming Sunsets

It has been a minute since I have shared updates of our travels in 2026. While we may have been streaming sunsets differently the past few months, we wanted to give you an update on what we’ve been up to.

A quick look back:

In January, we spent two weeks exploring Big Bend National Park and Davis Mountains State Park. Friends and family have told us how remarkable this area of our state is, and now we know. (I posted about this trip in January.)

In February, we enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Beavers Bend State Park in Oklahoma.

In March, we celebrated little boy’s birthdays. Later that month we joined the Region 9 Rally at Camp Margaritaville Resort in Crystal Beach. Then we spent a few days in Houston at an urban RV park while visiting our families.

In April, we met some friends from the North Texas Airstream Club (Hi Jason Priakos and Christie West Priakos) in Grapevine before dropping our trailer at Ramble Trailer for some fun upgrades. More on the upgrades to come.

While the camper was getting a makeover, we flew to Missoula, MT. We played with Bennett while his parents took a much-deserved weekend away. Missoula is a beautiful town that we will never tire of visiting! We flew back to DFW to pick up the trailer before heading home in anticipation/dread of the spring rains that come through Tyler each year.

In early May, we spent a week with some friends in Fredericksburg. We met Gary and Sue Hood VanNice on the ExplOregon Caravan last summer. Their journey brought them all the way from Portland for a Baylor graduation. We were so thankful to spend more time with them. We enjoyed our week camping, playing games, eating great food, and exploring the Hill Country.

At the end of June, we enjoyed a relaxing Florida Panhandle beach vacation with our daughters and their families. In addition, I was even able to sneak in a girls’ week at the beach with my friend, Terri.

While I was on my beach trip, Tom ventured out on an adventure with our two oldest grandchildren, Lillian (7) and Emery (5). They spent two nights doing all things camping at Tyler State Park. Talk about fun times and great memories.

We’ve spent all of July tending to household duties and improvements, spending time with our kids and grandkids as well as maintaining our treasured local friendships.

As we close out our summer in Tyler, we are preparing for our next adventure to begin August 1st.
